Whew, outside is rough today.  Not only my allergies, but my asthma is acting up – the cotton woods are starting to spread their seeds and I have to be more careful.
Went to use my inhaler – which I very seldom have to do – and realized, I was almost out and the prescription AND the medication is expired.  Called my current doctor who sent it in for me (he was not the original prescriber.)  He knows I use it only when I need it – and I need it.
Carla is laying out here Steer manure getting ready to place it in the rows of veggies, etc.  The man that usually drops off a couple of truck loads of leaves in the fall, didn’t do it this year, so we have to add more fertilizer to the soil.
Teresa and Ian are coming over tomorrow to help with the pounding in about 35 – 40 posts so we can start putting up the fencing we use for her climbing plants and for the 20 plus cages for tomato plants she will be planting in a few weeks.
Luke 13:24- 28  Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

We know the story well; we know the warning of Jesus’ words as He tells us that it is a difficult path to Salvation.
I never want to hear I know you not whence ye are:
Far too many people reject the Word of God because believing in it creates a problem for them.  They want a God who is all forgiving, but not one that places demands on their lives.
They may go to church, attend prayer meetings, and other accouterments of the church but their heart is not right with God.
Knowing that Jesus exists (or in their case existed) is insufficient to enter into heaven.
Going to church and partaking of the sacraments and maybe even have done some ‘good works’ is insufficient to enter into heaven.
There are not many paths that lead to heaven as the world wants to believe, Jesus was clear that only the narrow path, paved and maintained by God, reaches into heaven.
All other ways are for naught.
John 3:3  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
But what the sinner who is cast into the depths of hell can see is the people of God rejoicing.  Realizing that they had made the wrong decision about Jesus the Christ and it is too late to correct it.
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

They will be outside looking in for eternity.  Mourning over their stupidity and seeing over and over again the times they were given the opportunity to confess their sins and ask forgiveness through Jesus and found themselves outside of God’s love and mercy.
I would much rather hear His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.  Mathew 25:21
May we focus our life on God, believing that through the blood of Christ we are saved from being excluded from heaven and following the Holy Spirit wherever He leads us.
Later, Art :-)
