Carla was hoping to get some
burning done the past couple of days, the problem is that it is just too
windy. We are hoping that next day or
two will be quieter.
Allergies are acting up, even
with meds I find that I am struggling – I have been told that this is one of the
worst years (already) for allergies.
What joy.
Deuteronomy
7:9 Know
therefore that the Lord thy
God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them
that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand
generations;
God hasn’t
changed. The things He spoke of
thousands of years ago, He still says today.
He reaffirms it
in the lives of men and demonstrates it with the Holy Spirit’s work within our
lives.
He is faithful
in His blessings, and He is faithful in His disciplines.
We can live our
lives as we choose, that was how He created us; but He also made it clear that
when we stray from Him, when we sin and not repent, He will be faithful in our
punishment – in hopes that we will realize our mistakes, our sins, and turn back
to Him.
He hasn’t
changed. His Words were echoed by Jesus
as He taught.
John
14:21 He that hath my
commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me
shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to
him.
Throughout life
on earth man has tried to change who God is, how God operates, what God
teaches.
What man
forgets is that the Lord is faithful to His Word and the changes that must be
made are not in how God decides things, it is accepting that it must be us that
changes.
We can do that,
He has given us the will to serve Him and the Holy Spirit to guide us, it is up
to us to make the decision to love Him and obey Him.
He is faithful,
at all times, to Himself. He expects us
to also be faithful to Him.
Later, Art
:-)
