Bit of rain today, not much, just enough to make the dirt cling to the shoes causing us to bring dirt into the house.  But that is a good thing, any moisture helps.
Mathew 9:35-38 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

God entrusted Adam with an incredible gift, the gift of being able to make a choice.  As we know, however, Adam made the wrong choice.
The result has been catastrophe after catastrophe throughout history.  People enslaving others, destroying and killing as first one group conquers another and then they become fodder for the next army coming against them.
God entrusted man with the care of this world, and man has seriously neglect that responsibility.
We know that if He wanted He could send down armies of His angels to preach the Gospel.  Instead He chose to have man do the preaching.
1 Corinthians 1:20-21 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

We have the command of Jesus that we go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.
But people must be willing to do just that.  God forces no one to follow Him.  Yes, He does discipline those of us who have accepted Christ and then go astray – to make us realize our errors and sins and come back to Him.
But even with that He is not ‘forcing’ us to do His Will.
He lays the need of preaching to others on the hearts of those that seek Him.  Some have the desire to preach in other nations, while most of us must preach in our neighborhoods and communities.
He could easily force us to comply with His wishes, but He has chosen not to do that – to allow us to make our own decisions.
And, yes, He really doesn’t need our prayers or actions to preach the Gospel, but again, He has chosen this way so that men can be reached by us using the Holy Spirit as His emissary, touching the hearts of those we pray for.
Serving God is a Joyful experience.  It is full of satisfaction for our souls, but it is also hard work.
Part of that work is praying for and supporting those that choose to spread that Gospel.
The spiritual lives of people we have contact with are in our hands, we are part of the laborers of the harvest that God is calling to work for Him.
Wherever that may be.
Later, Art :-)
