Milder today, with just a bit of rain.  Carla has more potatoes planted and has gathered in the rest of her carrots so those rows can be planted with a different crop.

Teresa and Ian plan to come over Saturday to help replant the poles for the fencing used for beans and cucumbers and posts for the tomato cages – it may be another couple of weeks before she plants anything in those areas, but it will be ready to use.

Those BACON, FRESH tomatoes, swiss cheese on toasted sour dough bread are a callin’!!!!!

Romans 3:23-24 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

We are now reading and hearing how students want statues torn down, buildings renamed on their campuses because the person that was being honored is flawed and not perfect.

They are learning for the first time that many of leaders over the years were human and made mistakes.  Therefore do away with the accomplishments they made and destroy all records of their achievements.

You would think those calling for such perfection would be perfect themselves; that they had nothing in their past or future that would disqualify them from making such demands.

We now must guard every word we say or write since it might injure the minds of someone else.  Laws are being passed, or interpreted by the court, that forbid us to express our opinions if it is not what the government deems okay.

It is okay to express yourself by rioting and destruction of property; threatening the lives of our law enforcement or other officials and attacking them with fists and weapons.

It is okay to remove Bibles from libraries and remove them from our Veterans hospitals, yet pornography is readily available and allowed.

If it is criticism it becomes hate speech because it offends a classification of people, except, of course those that believe in Christ as Savior – it is okay to discriminate and harass them and their views.

The use of words to obscure and even applaud conduct that is a detriment to society as a whole is leading people astray and making others afraid of speaking out.

We see this same mentality of government telling people what they can and cannot believe or say coming to America that countries under dictators and communism are now rejecting.

What is discouraging is that so many supposedly intelligent people are accepting this censorship as a good thing – instead of challenging these ideas they are embracing them and demanding more.

There has only been one perfect man, the man Jesus who was the Christ and Savior of the Jews and Gentiles.

Everyone else is flawed.  Everyone else is subject to sins and making mistakes, even well-meaning activity can be harmful to people, because it is not couched in the actions that God encourages.

Not that we weren’t warned:
Luke 12:51-53    Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
53 The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Regardless of the political climate, God still reigns.  He has done so since before Creation, and He will continue to do so forever.  We cannot allow ourselves to be bullied into accepting sin as an okay activity.

We need to live our faith, and speak up for Christ – knowing that it is going to ‘offend’ some people.

America is descending into a quagmire of sin and destruction that, while many believed this might very well happen in this century, we had no idea it would be so quickly happening in the first two decades.

Other countries have gone down the path that America is traveling - the path that has caused the obliteration of many countries and the opening up of a tyrannical rule of law to the point that citizens were imprisoned if not behind bars, then behind the rule of having to live their life in constant fear of retribution for their actions.

I never worry about the end times – life is just to brittle, we can go at any time, so worrying about the Tribulation is not in my wheelhouse.

However, having said that, I am sure that there are Christians in other parts of the world who feel that it may be going on right now – and we in America might also come to that full realization in a short period of time.

While we may be secure in our relationship with God, there are many that are not – and it is getting more difficult to get to them.

Later, Art :-)
