Pretty day to day AND pretty
windy. Clouds coming in this evening and
we may yet see some rain.
The next few days are supposed
to be cooler – more like April than May.
Psalm 103:1-2 Bless the
Lord, O
my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy
name.
2 Bless the
Lord, O my soul, and forget
not all his benefits:
It is easy for us to get tied
down with cares as we go about this life.
Sometimes we forget that God has
given us so much. We cannot equate God’s
gifts in a material manner – although that is our tenacity.
We have the honor and privilege
of having an audience, whenever we wish, whether day or night with the King.
Our salvation affords us special
consideration as we come before Him – but all too often we use that time with a
‘I need, I want’ conversation.
All too often our conversations
with God are not that at all, but our demand that He listen to us and solve all
our problems.
We become like spoiled children,
dwelling on what our parents have not given us, rather than thanking them for
their compassion, love and sacrifices on our behalf.
God loves us so much that He
sent His Son to die for us. He
sacrificed His Son so that we too could be His children.
If He does no other thing for
us, He deserves all our praise and thanksgiving for that expense, the blood of
His Son.
Rather than continually asking
for things, rather than ranting over perceived wrongs to us, let us take time to
just focus on God and give Him the honor He deserves.
Later, Art :-)
