Today is my Re-Birth day. 51 years ago today, I knelt at the altar and
accepted Christ as my Savior. He has
been my constant companion ever since.
Mark 10:24-26 And the disciples
were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them,
Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom
of God!
25 It is easier for a camel
to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom
of God.
26 And they were astonished
out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be
saved?
Far too many people are like the
disciples. When Jesus told them that
rich people would have a difficult time entering into heaven because they
trusted their riches – the disciples then asked Who then can be
saved?
Financial success, Professional
success, even religious “success” becoming a deacon for example, do not
automatically equate to submission to God and acceptance into heaven.
Man cannot buy or earn his way
into heaven. The price is much higher
than that.
1 Peter
1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not
redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain
conversation received by tradition from your
fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ,
as of a lamb without blemish and without
spot:
Later, Art :-)
