Summer is coming back with a vengeance in our neck of the woods.  However, nowhere near what many of you are experiencing.
Had to laugh, yesterday, as Carla was trying to weed in the garden.  Abby, one of the kittens although an adult now, was continually getting in her path, rubbing up against her and seeking attention.  What makes it so funny is that outside she is always clamoring for attention, loves to be petted and loves tummy rubs – but inside you can barely get near her, let alone pet her.
Each of them has their own personalities and quirks, not much different from other animals, including humans.
Trying a new zucchini recipe; preparation isn’t much different than when we fry them, but they bake rather that fry and taste just as good.  Now, if I can just get the formula right – slice size, oven temperature and time in the oven, we will be having more of them.
Proverbs 30:24-28 There be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise:
25 The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
26 The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
28 The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.
I read an article from Daily Praise, this morning, on spiders.  It just gives further evidence that God created the universe and all that inhabit it.
It is amazing the intricacies of what God has done.  The minute details of His creations show His handiwork.
Here is the short article, well worth reading, if for no other reason than to learn more about spiders:

The Dazzling Spider
“The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces.” (Proverbs 30:28)

There is incredible detail and beauty in a typical spider web. Scientists have found that web strands are comparable in strength to fused quartz fibers. Zoologists discovered that spiders have one to four pairs of spinnerets located in their abdomen (the normal number are three pairs). In addition, there are seven silk glands, each making a strand for a unique purpose.

One silk gland produces thread for cocoons and another for wrapping up the prey. The two seem to be the same, but they require especially designed silk. Other glands make the walking thread so the spider doesn’t get snagged herself, while another makes the sticky material that captures the juicy dinner. Some of the finer threads are almost invisible to us unless the light is reflected just right. Yet spider silk is strong! Typically it has a tensile strength five times that of steel and elasticity—strong enough to stop a lumbering bumblebee at full speed.

Each spider engineers a style of web characteristic of its species and builds it perfectly on the first try. These complex glands and intricate design patterns have every evidence of design. It is obvious that the spider does not have the intelligence in its brain to learn how to do this. It is equally obvious that the ability to do so is already designed into the genetic instructions that were placed in the original spiders by their Creator.

Our text begins by Solomon noting “four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise,” and he lists the spider as one of those that are “wise.” Perhaps we could learn “wisdom” from them. HMM III

I stand amazed at the power and creative genius of our Lord.  The more I see of scientific endeavors that provide more and more insight into this world and the creatures that occupy it, the more I am drawn to God.
We may never understand why He created certain creatures but, the dissecting of their makeup and abilities causes me to sit back and just go, “Wow!”
How can we deny God’s existence?  How can we possibly think of limiting, in our minds, the things He can do?
Everything in this world shows design; it shows that someone put it all together, piece by piece.
It shows planning, it shows coordination of one thing benefiting others.  The plants are as far different from animals as they can be, yet there is a symbiotic relationship between the plants and us animals.
We need Oxygen to live.  The plants need Carbon Dioxide.  We breath in air, use the Oxygen and then expel Carbon Dioxide; the plants do just the opposite, they ‘breathe’ in and use Carbon Dioxide and produce Oxygen.  They couldn’t exist without us and we can’t exist without them.
There are many such symbiotic relationships in the world, some are limited to one species helping one other species.  The evolution theory is that one needed that special help, so the other evolved into the ‘thing’ it needed.
I always ask though, if they were not created at the same time, how did they survive until something else evolved that could keep them alive?
Romans 1:19-21 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Psalm 24:1-3 The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
Psalm 150:1-2 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
Amen, and Amen!!!
Later, Art :-)
