A bit grey outside this morning, but that is expected in our fall weather.
Poor Blaze, Deed came by this morning with their two dogs and he ran and hid in his kennel.  He is just too skittish for company.  But he is doing so much better than he was in everyday life.  He seems much happier now and more adventuresome within the confines of the fenced yard – there are still times, but they are fewer and farther in between.
1 Thessalonians 2:   14-16  For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:
15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:
16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
There are always those that would tell us that we cannot preach the Gospel of Christ.
Schools are no longer allowed to even mention Him, let alone allow the kids to witness to others.
Employers are no longer allowing employees to share with their co-workers the hope that is within us.
Denominations have been watering down the Gospel to fit the world’s view of love – not God’s view.  When one of their churches veers from that new interpretation as says it is wrong they are attacked and threatened with ex-communication from the organization.
Businesses are proclaiming that they are tolerant of everything but the sharing of God’s Word.  Their message is clear, we support the world’s view and if you don’t like it that is tough.
Those businesses that do proclaim a belief in God’s Word are being attacked and threatened – by the very people who say everyone must be more tolerant.
Governments, local, state and federal, are not only condemning the preaching of the Gospel but passing laws against it.  It won’t be long until even the pulpit is no longer free from duress and in some issues it already is.
Yet, we are go proclaim Christ, tell others about sinful behavior and the availability of redemption through Him.
For thousands of years man has tried to destroy God, destroy His Word, deny the salvation of Christ and shut His followers up.
Yet, Christians continue find ways to declare Him.  They find ways to share their salvation with them.  They find ways to help the Holy Spirit open hearts to Him.
We may be discouraged over current events in America.  We know the persecutions and deaths that are being perpetrated against Christians in other parts of the World.
But God is God and He will prevail.  Man thinks he has the last word and he has continued to think that from Adam on, but governments have failed with they try to follow man’s wisdom instead of God’s.
Isaiah 43:11-13 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.
12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.
13 Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?
And just so there is no question about who Jesus is:
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Mathew 16:15-17  He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Man thinks he can pass laws, he can incarcerate those that defy those laws and by so doing he can destroy God and His messengers.  But he will never stop the Holy Spirit from touching souls and leading them to Christ.
There are those that are given the mission to preach to large groups about the message of Christ.  Most of us, however, are given the message to share Christ with one, two, three people at a time – and our mission is just as important as the preacher who preaches to thousands.
When we allow that Holy Spirit to direct our paths and refuse to let satan beat us down, God will help us share His Gospel and He will reward that sharing with souls coming to Him.
Man cannot defeat God.  Man can limit where we say something, but he cannot limit our witnessing for Christ – yes we may suffer for it, but that doesn’t change the fact the we follow Christ of our own free will and people find Christ because of it.
Later, Art :-)
