Interesting week, while hot earlier the humidity was down, as low as 9 on one day, and we actually had a wind that helped make us feel cool.
Last night humidity was 40 and if felt like a sauna out there – I realize it is a small taste of what those of you suffer when the temperature is 100 and so is the humidity.  I don’t know how you manage.
Right now it is 96 degrees and humidity is 30, not a pleasant feeling when you prefer and are used to the ‘dry’ heat.
Garden is doing okay, Carla just brought in some more small tomatoes and some cucumbers for our salad later today.  Store bought lettuce, as ours went to seed in the heat, but we will have some left over chicken and some fresh farm eggs to help top it off.
Isaiah 46:9-10 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
God performed many miracles that were recorded in the Old Testament Scriptures.  He is reaffirming His deity and that no one can begin to be like Him.
Men have tried, but fall short in the intricacies of their creation when compared to God’s.
Only God, is God.  Only God can do the things He can do.
Only God created the universe and all that is in it is able to ‘be’ because He is God.
God has proven Himself.  He proved Himself in the Old Testament; in the New Testament and daily as we depend upon Him.
The world declares if there is a God, that God is dead.  The world declares that God has no authority over it.
The world declares that God is meaningless and to believe in Him is a sign of weakness and ability of those that profess Him.
The world declares that once we die, that is it.  Our bodies will be gone overtime, there is nothing else.  Just death.
Mathew 22: 31-33   But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

But Jesus reaffirmed God’s authority in His teachings.  He reaffirmed that those whose physical bodies have been long gone, still live.
Their souls would soon be with God once Jesus was sacrificed.
There is a life after what we call death.  Jesus conquered satan’s control over our life.
Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection enabled those who had been in Abraham’s bosom, waiting for the Messiah to open the gates of heaven, to pass through those gates.
We will see them.
Whether or not we have accepted Christ as our Savior, we will see them.
Luke 13:28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
The world has tried to substitute man’s wisdom, man’s abilities for God’s and the world loses.
The Old Testament proclaimed God, Jesus reaffirmed His existence and His authority.
We need to accept that, really accept that – not just say it.
We need to understand in our hearts as well as in our minds that God is God and He is in charge of everything.
We need to understand that the confession of our sins and the acceptance of Jesus’ sacrifice was just the beginning of our life in eternity.
Instead of waiting until our body dies to worship Him with all our being we should be doing that right now.
Psalm 30:11-12  Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

Forever.  Forever, began the day we accepted Christ as our Savior and it goes on – forever.  There is no stopping, only continuation.
Later, Art :-)
