Animals, makes ya wonder. Wanda ate very little last night and none
this morning, even though I ‘salted’ it with Alpo. So when I realized that I had some left over
chicken that was a little older than I thought Carla and I should have, I gave
both Wanda and Blaze a couple of pieces.
Blaze chomped his down. Wanda just looked at hers. A few minutes later I found her burying it in
the dirt! She will eat when she is
hungry, of course she has no difficulty in eating the cookies Teresa left (and I
had to make more of.)
Warmer today, wind is blowing
which helps; but, outside work is done – for the afternoon.
Mathew 10:29-31 Are not two sparrows
sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your
Father.
30 But the very hairs of
your head are all numbered.
31 Fear ye not therefore,
ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Many years ago, when Ken and
Deed were very young, an elderly friend of ours watched over them one
evening. Both were on her couch going to
sleep, she decided to put their jackets over them, putting Ken’s on, she
realized that it was actually Deed she was covering – they looked so much
alike.
According to “Worldometers”
there are over 7 billion people on planet earth today. There are over 200,000 births a day with over
80,000 deaths, not hard to see how the earth is continually getting more
populated.
When we are unfamiliar with
people of a different color we often times have difficulty telling them apart –
and that holds true for all groups. I
have heard a black man say, I can’t tell them apart they all look alike, in
reference to giving a description of a white man.
We share common bonds, make up
of bodies and how the different parts work the same, eyes, ears, nose, mouth,
lungs, heart, arms, legs, etc. Our
blood, for the most part, is the same and interchangeable – yes there are
differences, about 13 major blood groups, but many of them are
interchangeable.
Everyone’s blood breaks down
into red cells to carry oxygen, white cells that fight infection and platelets
to stop bleeding in injuries.
The major difference in people
is the color of their skin, in cased within that skin is the same body everyone
else has; we are far more alike than different – yet, it seems, it is those
minor differences we all too often focus on.
But, each person is unique. God says He counts the hair on our head –
they are numbered – we are distinct and different individuals.
No two people have the same
fingerprints.
The science of DNA is
discovering even more uniqueness about us, the only people who seem to have
indistinguishable DNA are identical twins and someday there may be a way of
distinguishing them.
We are unique, yet we are the
same. The same design was used for
everyone walking on the planet, only minor deviations make us different.
While we recognize family
resemblances – we also note the differences in each person – there are even
differences in identical twins.
But at our base, as men and
women, we are the same.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his
own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he
them.
We are ALL created in the image
of God. Adam and Eve were the molds.
The only true difference in man,
as far as God is concerned, is what we do with His Son, Jesus. Either we accept Him, or we reject Him.
We either believe God’s Word or
we do not.
He knows that heart of each
person on this earth; He knows our cares, fears, concerns, loves, hates, joy,
sorrows and everything in between.
He has no difficulty telling one
person from another, He has no difficulty listening to all at the very same
time.
While we, in our finite minds,
cannot conceive such ability we have faith He can. His Word says He can. We know that man has devised computers and
programs that can instantly respond to any request – receiving thousands of
different requests in a short span of time and directing the requester to the
correct source.
God’s Word hasn’t changed in
thousands of years, many have questioned sources or places, but as man’s
intellect improves he is finding evidence that proves Scripture writers knew
what they were talking about.
God has remained the same, His
Word has remained the same, only man has changed. From the time Adam sinned, that change began
and we see it continuing today.
But the physical changes are
minor and hold no interest for God. It
is the heart He is concerned about and as individuals we can determine what our
heart accepts.
We are united with others,
either as fellow Christians, or fellow non-Christians. We have the ability to change our hearts –
and that is the most important decision we will ever make.
We are unique, we are different
and when we accept Christ into our hearts God uses that difference to reach
others.
May we see people as God sees
them, needing Him, even though they are different from us.
Later, Art :-)
