Boy, what a difference a day makes – from 100 degrees yesterday to 81 degrees today, overcast and a breeze to make it even more comfortable. 

Not much else happening in our neck of the woods, Teresa and Ian will be home tomorrow.  Coos County Fair is in full swing so the Coos Bay Labrousses are in Myrtle Point with their goats.

Steven, Celinda and CeeCee will be boarding a plane of North Carolina Saturday for Celinda’s family annual reunion. 

Meanwhile, we will be home and Carla will be playing in the dirt.

Jeremiah 1:4-5 Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

⁵ Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

There are people in this world that just don’t care; criminals don’t care if they hurt the person they are stealing from, they just want the things the person has.  It doesn’t matter if the item is an heirloom with great sentimental value, or if by taking it they force the victim into poverty.

If they think about it at all, they justify it; the other has ‘lots of money,’ ‘I need this in order to buy’ – whatever – ‘the person is in my way and needs to be killed,’ ‘it is fun, I get an adrenaline high when I commit a crime.’  The list goes on if there is any excuse that a person can use to justify their actions to themselves, they will use it.

Conscience is destroyed so they don’t even think of what they are doing is wrong.  Yes, they may be arrested, found guilty and incarcerated, but still most will deny they had a choice in their decision.

An employee steals from his employer, because ‘he misused me,’ ‘or they have lots of these,’ ‘they have insurance for theft,’ ‘I should have gotten that raise – or promotion.’

Undoubtedly we have all read about the latest depravity of Planned Parenthood employees who have no qualms about discussing the value of a dead ‘fetus’ over lunch.  Even getting into the specifics of how they can salvage organs.  They have so hardened their conscience that abortion is a meal time conversation.

They are no different than other criminals in this world.

But, what should we expect from a world, that is interested only in one’s self, whose value of human life is twisted to the point that they deny a baby is even human.

I have no words to describe how I feel, the revulsion, the anger, the sickness in my heart.  I know that is shared with you.

From what I understand the abortion rate is going down, undoubtedly from the various photos that show a person, weeks old, living in the womb.  There can be no denial that is a child, not just a bunch of tissue that suddenly springs forth from the womb.

We need to pray for the doctor that she will be made aware of her sins and find forgiveness through Christ.  Frankly her stand on what she does isn’t any different than those who killed over 6 million Jews.  It is that same mentality that allowed that to happen.

We need to pray for that doctor, that she will realize the depths of immorality she has gone down to – that she will reach out to Christ for forgiveness.

We need to pray for others that think like her and when they perform an abortion don’t see the child who has been killed as a human being who deserves to live.

We need to pray for the women that use abortion as a birth control method – who view it as a means to keep from having a child.

We need to pray for the women who feel trapped and believe this is the only thing they can do.

We need to pray for our nation that allows such practices, uses taxpayer’s money to fund such practices.

We need to pray for our nation which has continually left the presence of God and declared that only man can decide one’s future and only those who are in charge are wise enough to make those decisions.

It is just one more example of low we are going, for we know the descent will continue and it is like a whirlpool, the longer it whirls the wider it becomes and the deeper it goes.

But, God is still on His throne, and He never gives up on us, He may allow us to suffer in our cesspool of rotten sin, but He will always be there to help us.

As Christians we must continue to proclaim Christ, we must continue to share His Love with others.

Mathew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
