It is quiet
in our neck of the woods. It rained, softly, last night and as I write the sun
is starting to shine of Cherry Hts. with blue sky peeking through the
clouds.
Even as I
write it starts shining on Carla’s garden.
But the temperature remains in the low 40’s in her garden thus it will
take a lot longer to melt down so she can start preparing the ground.
Still it
picks up her spirits and encourages her that this, too, will be over and she can
once again ‘play in the dirt.’

Job
12:7-10 “But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls
of the air, and they shall tell thee:
8 Or speak to the earth,
and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto
thee.
9 Who knoweth not in all
these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought
this?
10 In whose hand is the
soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.” KJV
I woke up
this morning thinking of how great God the Creator is and how much He means to
me.
We are so
used to modern conveniences we forget there was a time when everything was made
by the hand of man, one item at a time.
Craftsmen
learned as apprentices, they put their own special talents into everything they
did. They did some amazing work with
tools most people today don’t even know what to call them.
But, if
something broke it couldn’t just be replaced, it had to be redone. Not like today where we just go down to
whatever store has replacement parts and buy it and then fix it – or have
someone do it for us.
Now robots
and other machines do the work on a lot of the things we buy. One of the shows I watch from time to time is
called “How it’s made” while not going into a lot of details, it does show us
how things are cookie cutters, same thing over and over again in hard to believe
speed and accuracy.
Think for a
moment about Oreo cookies, two wafers with a white sugary substance in
between. Whether you buy a package on
the west coast, east coast, north or south it is the same product. It has the same number of cookies that are
identical in every way. Millions of
packages a year are sold.
If your car
is in an accident, or has mechanical difficulties you take it to the shop; the
body man or mechanic goes to the phone and orders a replacement part. It is exactly what he is taking off the car
and once done it is hard to see any difference.
Science is
finding incredible things about this world.
The tools used show us the minutest things are so well designed that
quite frequently they can take something from one body and place it in another
with little adjustment.
They are
finding that OUR bodies, in many ways, can be replaced by a transplant. Hearts, lungs, livers and other body parts
are taken from one person and placed in another person with little
adjustment.
Blood
transfusions are done every day and we don’t consider the wonder of that medical
discovery. The human body is so well
engineered that we can, in many cases, repair the body so that it will be very
difficult to see that it was done.
God’s designs
are far more superior to anything man has ever, or will ever design, yet, the
world gives credit to the scientists and engineers for designing these
interchangeable parts but says that man came about, over a period of time, from
a rock and just evolved into this incredibly complex body of work.
The animals,
the birds and even insects have been the catalyst for many inventions as the
inventors have watched and learned from them.
We call it
nature as if it is some ‘thing’ that does all this instead of the God that spoke
the universe into being and all that is within it, with the exception of man who
He formed from the clay of the earth and breathed life into him.
If we praised
and thanked God even have as much as we do mankind this world would be in a much
better place.
Later, Art
