Forecast was
for snow and rain today in our neck of the woods with a temperature in a high of
38, however, thus far no moisture falling and the high is already 43, no
complaints on our part.

Numbers 14:25-32 “And the
Lord
spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
27 How long shall I bear
with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the
murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against
me.
28 Say unto them, As truly
as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in
mine ears, so will I do to you:
29 Your carcases shall fall
in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole
number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against
me.
30 Doubtless ye shall not
come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save
Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of
Nun.
31 But your little ones,
which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the
land which ye have despised.
32 But as for you, your
carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness.”
KJV
I cannot
imagine having our God so angry at us that He would disinherit us, but that is
exactly what He did to the men and women who refused to enter the Promised
Land.
I have heard
people say, well that was the Jews, He wouldn’t do that today, not since Jesus’
time.
Acts 26:15-18 “And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom
thou persecutest.
16 But rise, and stand
upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a
minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those
things in the which I will appear unto thee;
17 Delivering thee from
the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send
thee,
18 To open their eyes,
and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God,
that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are
sanctified by faith that is in me.”
KJV
Some people,
even some Christians, read scriptures such as these and say, see God has
changed, He won’t cut us off like He did with the Jews.
But not only
is that a promise, it is a guide to what He expects to be done by not only Paul,
but all Christians.
But if they
are not prepared, every day, for Jesus’ return, they will be left behind
wondering why they didn’t obey God, follow His Holy Spirit and His commands that
are laid out before all of us to follow.
The story of
the 10 virgins in Mathew, make that clear:
Mathew 25:10-12 “And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that
were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was
shut.
11 Afterward came also
the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to
us.
12 But he answered and
said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
God is not
going to change, just because modern society has decided what is right and wrong
without considering what God has already deemed sin, they declare it is okay to
act in a sinful manner and not worry about the consequences.
Malachi
3:6 “ For
I am the Lord,
I change not;”
We can rely
on that – and not only for adverse consequences but the promise that He will
always be with us, that He is our hiding place and our fortress.
Psalm 18:1-2 “I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
2 The Lord is my rock, and my
fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my
buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”
KJV
Why do we so
often forget that when we are faced with adversity? Fortunately, He hasn’t forgotten and is only
a prayer away.
I want to
always have a full lamp and extra in preparation for whenever He decides to come
and claim His church.
Later, Art
