The first day of 2015 is beautiful.  We had four visitors this morning, a couple of doe, a yearling and a nice forked horn buck.  They walked into the garden seeing if there was something for them, but outside of the weeds they reject, they had no food.
Another bright sunny and cold day.  Next few days will be cold with some freezing fog joining us.
Bowl Games today, Go Ducks!  So, I will turn the TV on and enjoy them.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
John 1:1-3  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Jesus was with God the Father even before the beginning.
John 14:8-10  Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

What does that mean?
Genesis 1:26-27      And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

To me it means that Jesus was there at the Creation of man.  God created man in His own image.  Jesus walking on earth was God in a man’s body – and Jesus told them, you have seen me – you are looking at the Father; this is what He looks like.  No painting, and of course no photograph, but the Father Himself – as portrayed in Him, Christ Jesus.
Jesus did not back off from His statement that He and God are one.  While we may not understand how that works, we trust the truth of the “Word” – Jesus - as mentioned in John, and the Word as we read in the Bible.
But God also chose to make US in His image.  He was the blueprint for what man looks like.  He didn’t divide them into colors.  As we look at any man or woman, they have the features that God made in Adam and Eve.
There are those that would say one color of a person is better, more evolved than another – God didn’t say that, man says that and reinforces it in their religion of evolution.  The world does not recognize the sovereignty of God and His Word; so it makes its own rules as to how the universe operates – and one of the teachings is that there is a superior race, and by default an inferior one.
There is no black race, white, red, or yellow race.  We are all one race, the human race.  The differences in people are cultural, not skin color.  Because of the beliefs of man we have labeled people by their skin color – and look at them that way instead of looking at them being in the image of God.
If you remove the color of the skin of a person, the blood, bone, tissue, brain, nerves, heart, lungs, digestive track and many other parts of the body are the same.
While the religion of Evolution says we are evolved from nothing.  God says He created us from the dust of the earth – He created us, from the dust of HIS creation.
Yes, there are differences between people, but the differences come down to more of culture than anything else.   Even in America ‘white’ people have different cultures and many are in conflict with another.  People who have come from other countries are usually assimilated into the culture they move into within a few generations.
It is the teaching, the traditions, the way they choose to live their lives that is the difference, not the color of their skin.
John 1:9-14   That  was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

All of us were made in the image of God.  There was no evolving from one ‘race’ into another.  There was no evolving from nothing; we are CREATED, in the IMAGE of GOD, BY God.  Each and everyone of us.
The only true difference, and it is a major difference, between people is those that have accepted the Son of God and those that have not.  God it not concerned about color of skin, culture, traditions or man’s belief – He is only concerned about the heart of man.  The heart either accepts or rejects Christ.
My prayer, today, is to look at my fellow man as God looks at Him; human and in need of Christ and all He can offer us.
Later, Art :-)
