Cloudy and very rainy day, the mists are hanging low in the valleys and the wind is calm.  Thus far we have a little over a quarter of an inch, with more coming down.  It is also coming down in the mountains, but we need more moisture in the form of snow up there for the coming seasons.
Carla’s work is finished and I forgot to take photos, Deed has some and will try and take some more today – I will send a few out in a day or two.
Genesis 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
James 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Yesterday my question was, how big is our God, physically?  And came to the obvious conclusion it doesn’t matter – He is as big as He wants or needs to be.
God created man in His image, but while He did that He was not alone.  His Son was also there.
We have an idea of what He looks like by looking in the mirror or across the room – we were created in His image.
Again it doesn’t matter what He looks like, it is sufficient to know that He is God and has the power to assume anything He wants to be.  He has the authority and power to use anything He wishes to use – as He did the dove as His Holy Spirit.  But He chose to have His looks reflected in man.
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
Jesus walked on this earth as a man, He communicated to people as a man, He communicated to God as His Son – and a man.  Today I would look at the Son in reflection as to what God looks like.
Jesus was God, while I cannot fathom how this works, because we know God was clear that He was the only God, - and Jesus reaffirmed that many times - we know that He is revealed in three people and demonstrated that when John baptized Him.
Mathew 3:16-17  And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

The people did not see God, they heard Him.  His Spirit came down in the shape of a dove – God chose to use that form to show His Spirit and of course there was Jesus, standing in the river as a man.
We know that the Spirit led Him into the wilderness and He was tempted by satan.
Mathew 4:1-4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Jesus demonstrated what He was talking about with the woman at the well.  He stayed by the well while His disciples went to find food to eat.  After His encounter with the woman, the disciples came back with food.  Jesus did not eat.
John 4:31-34 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?
34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

He was protected by the angels and by His own Power:
Mathew 4:5-7 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Jesus was in danger, many times, but His enemies were unable to do anything to Him until His time came.  We do not know how, but He would in their midst – a man they knew well – yet they did not see Him as He was hidden from them.
John 8:58-59  Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Jesus reaffirmed His authority over the angels when He was taken by the Temple Guards in the Garden.  Peter had taken out His sword and attacked one of them.
Mathew 26:52-53 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

Jesus was clear in His life and teaching that only God was to be worshiped.
Mathew 4:8-11    Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

While He did make it clear (through His teachings) He was the Christ, the Son of God, He submitted Himself to God the Father and expected others to do the same.  He taught that what He was saying came from God the Father.
John 12:44-46 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
And 49-50     For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Jesus performed many miracles as a testament to who He was/is; that His teachings came from God the Father, yet, many people did not believe.
Mark 2:5 -12  When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
6 But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
John 12:37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
I see God in Jesus.  I see His Power in the miracles that Jesus performed.  I see His Love in the compassion Christ showed those about Him.  I see His anger in the way Christ addressed the Leaders of the Jews that refused to obey God’s Word and who also refused to accept Christ as the Savior.  I see His forgiveness as Christ hung on the cross.
Luke 23:34   Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit are all worthy to be praised as they are One.
Later, Art :-)
