Quiet day today.
Psalm 124:24-27   These see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.
25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.

Mark 4:36-41  And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
The same God that Created All Things; the same God that was God to the Hebrews is the same God that was there when Jesus walked the earth is the same God we worship today and will be the same God we worship tomorrow.
We sometimes forget who God is; we forget that while we go through our day He is there with us.  There is nothing beyond His capabilities.  And most important, He loves us and wants what is best for us.
We forget that when our problems rage around us, that He is with us and will be there for us.  We may feel that we are being overcome by the enemy, but God is there and will use whatever we are going through to proclaim His Glory – IF we let Him.
I cannot begin to number the times that instead of relying on Him I forged ahead with my own ideas.  Sometimes it work, but many times I found myself getting deeper and not really accomplishing what needed to be done.
He was in the boat with the disciples.  They were in grave danger.  They had Jesus in the boat with them.  They woke Him up and asked Him if He cared for them.
He calmed the sea then rebuked them for their unbelief AND they still asked each other who this man was.
We often do the same thing, we get into trouble, we call upon God and when He gets us out of trouble we give tribute to other things than our God.  The disciples had been with Jesus, they saw the miracles, they heard His teachings, they had private time with Him, yet, they still did not understand who He is.
God is not some unresponsive, uncaring idol that is there only to satisfy man’s needs for a superior being.  God is the Creator; God is the foundation of all things in this world.
While man tries to justify their own beliefs of why they do not belief in Him – God continues as He always has; He loves man, He wants man to serve Him, belief on Him as the One and Only God and for the past 2000 years He wants us to accept His Son as our Savior.
While God is complicated, His Love is not, it is demonstrated through His Son.  No matter what the storm is that we are going through He is there with us.  Even though our lives may be in turmoil, we can had His peace within, knowing that He loves and cares for us.
Psalm 23:10-11 The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.
11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
My prayer today, is to remain faithful in my service and my faith in God that He understands any and all things I am going through and will help me through the day.  I will accept His peace.
Later, Art :-)
