Days are growing shorter, of
course, and while we are still having warm ones, they are quickly dispersing
into lower temperatures at night.
Still taking it easy,
recovering, but not quite there yet. We
have some pears to can – should be ready tomorrow or at the latest Monday and it
will take both of us, so hopefully can be ready.
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always:
and again I say, Rejoice.
All
verses are from KJV Bible copied and pasted from BibleGateway.com.
Sometimes we are so tired, we
are so worn out from work, family obligations, illnesses or injuries; struggles with relationships, struggles with
everything all around us that we just shake our heads and think ‘what is the
use?’
These are critical times in a
Christian’s life. We must draw, not on
ourselves, but the resources of our Great God.
The best way to do that is praise Him, rejoice in His grace and
mercy.
It is difficult and sometimes we
just are so dejected that we forget that He is there for us, waiting for us to
ask His Holy Spirit to infuse us with the energy that can only come from
Him.
We have all heard it said that
when everything is going wrong and someone is optimistic they are oblivious to
reality. And that is often true,
however, as Christians we can have that positive mind set because we know that
God is with us. No matter the outcome we
will grow in Him and He will use us to glorify Himself.
No one said it would be easy –
or if they did they lied. Christianity
is a life long struggle with satan bringing up the old life, with him using our
weaknesses – and even our strengths against us, with him using others to
persecute, ridicule and try to bring us down.
However, when we rejoice in the
Lord, when we thank Him for our Savior, when we ask the Holy Spirit to refresh
us – He does. We may find ourselves in
the same troubled waters, but we have a lifting of spirit that helps guide us in
our decision making.
We must always praise Him. We must always rejoice in His love and
mercy. We must always depend on Him, not
outside forces or inner demons, to direct our path.
Later, Art :-)
