In our neck of the woods it is snowing once again.  Flakes are just kind of fluttering down, shifting and spinning in the air as the fall.  It started out with just a few, there are a lot more now – 1150.
We had to dig that family pickup out this morning, it was high centered – took a couple of hours but I think we have it on ‘more’ solid ground now.
Not as pretty today, skies are grey and with the snow, visibility is only a few hundred feet from what I can see.
Looks like we will have some snow for a while – what does concern us is that rain will be coming shortly, and that can create flooding.
For the past few years I have been praying for our agriculture people, farmers, ranchers and employees to get more moisture to overcome the drought conditions – and as long as all this snow doesn’t get rained off too quickly it should help them.

Jeremiah 10:6-10  Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O Lord; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.
7 Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
8 But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
9 Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men.
10 But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.  KJV
The world is too busy congratulating itself of its independence from God to dig deeper and understand that all that they have, all the machines, computers, cars, homes, scientific advancement, personal prosperity – none of it means anything when they must come to face with the realization that God not only exists, but their refusal to acknowledge Him will incur a wrath that heretofore they never knew could exist.
It is so easy to focus on things that we can see, touch, hear and taste.  These are things that are visible and have a direct impact on our life, yet, they are nominal when it comes time to face God.
His Word is a history of what happens when He finally has had enough and must chastise those that proclaim Him, but refuse to obey Him.  To those that belong to Him it is a reminder that we must stay in touch with Him, seek the Holy Spirit, daily, to give us wisdom and peace, pray through Jesus the Christ to not only ask of Him, but to praise Him and thank Him for all He has done for us and His people.
The world has attempted to make God either a wimp who will never pass judgement or a non-entity that has no place in the life of an intelligent person.
Oh, it is frustrating to see the world’s values, most of which completely conflict with God’s Word, seem to go on without interruption.  Not only does it appear they are holding their own, but they are growing in their audacity and proclamations that God’s way is not only the incorrect one, but it promotes hatred.
Because the world has ruled that behaviors are not wrong, that almost anything is acceptable and we are not to condemn such behavior, those that might have listened to a Christian sharing God’s love and commands are asking why should they listen?
After all, it is legal and to them that makes it okay.  And even if it isn’t legal, the world is no longer condemning their behavior, so ‘back off!’
The Holy Spirit deals with all men, including sinners.  If He did not none of us would have knelt at the cross of Jesus.
He will touch them, He will prick their hearts – but it is still up to them to listen, they have a choice and even though we know they are making the wrong one, we can’t change them.
We can pray, we can live for Him, we can continue to testify of His goodness in both actions and words, but we cannot force them to accept God at His Word.
We know what these people will face in the future, and it is far worse than anyone has ever faced here on earth; the horror of which we cannot fathom.  AND we become fearful for them.
We cannot change them, only God – and their own personal will - can do that.
But that does not excuse us from our obligation of sharing the Gospel, of sharing the salvation through Christ with others.
I need that guidance from God, every day.  I need to remind myself that His promises are always true and will eventually come to fruition.
He has shown us, through His Word, that even though we may not see Him at work, He is still working.
We have come to expect immediate satisfaction here in America.  We are impatient when things don’t happen when and how we want them to be done.
Even many of the Patriarchs grew weary and had to be reminded that what God promised them would happen – and sometimes it was decades before He acted.
While we may not understand why things are happening, or not happening in our life, God is using this time to strengthen us so we can be better servants for Him.  AND we never know who is watching us to see if what we have is real – our life can help them make the right choice, or not – our actions really do have an impact on others.
Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O Lord; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.
7 Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
There is nothing, nor anyone, that can compare to God.  We must not get lost in the everyday trials in our lives to the point that we forget that fact.
Later, Art (-:
