Not as warm today, which is
nice, it is very windy, which ain’t.
Dogs are in and out of the
house. The cats are hunkered down away
from Wanda. Although one stayed in the
chair all day yesterday, don’t think Wanda even noticed her.
1 Kings
18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and
said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be
God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a
word.
Why is it we try to couch God’s
Word so it is more politically acceptable?
Religion is not discussed in
polite society; we were told when we grew up.
Discussion of Politics and Religion are taboo when we gather with people
for social engagements – we don’t want to get people upset.
It isn’t polite to try and tell
others about Jesus, we don’t want them to get upset and think that their way to
God isn’t effective.
Let’s be all inclusive, after
all we must all get along.
We have become like sheep
without a master. We are afraid to voice
our allegiance to God because it might offend someone.
We must not profess our views on
the Father, Jesus or the Holy Spirit sense not everyone accepts our point of
view.
We must not offend anyone, so we
will not mention God in public – ever.
WE self-censor ourselves.
WE decide we cannot talk to
someone that needs Jesus and the Holy Spirit is directing us to talk to
them.
WE don’t want to be labeled
extremists.
WE don’t want to be laughed at
or made fun of.
WE make excuses for not
proclaiming the gospel of Christ.
WE have made the decision to NOT
be for God!
I am not advocating we go out
and grab people by the lapel and start condemning them.
I AM advocating that we follow
the leading of the Holy Spirit and not be reticent to tell others about Him.
I AM advocating that we speak in
wisdom and in a respectful manner – and passion can be demonstrated respectfully
– and tell others about Jesus.
Satan thinks he has the upper
hand in the world and in America in particular.
He has been working overtime to
get ‘his’ message across and destroy the message of God.
Millions of people, afraid to be
called prejudiced, are doing his work for him and a grand scale.
WE need to look at people, not
of color, not of race, not of politics, but as individuals who need God in their
lives.
Not just any god, but the Great
I Am, the Father coming to Him through His Son.
It is scary being alone while
everyone around us hates what we represent.
It can be disheartening to talk
to others about Jesus only to be called a ‘hater’ because we defend the Word of
God against ever increasing anti-God societal norms.
But if you believe it is
difficult now, wait. It is getting
worse, and if we cannot stand under these times, how do we stand when people’s
very lives are at stake, maybe even our own?
So, are we going to maintain our
silence and by doing so deny God, or do we stand, perhaps trembling, but
proclaim our God?
Later, Art :-)
