I have completed the series on the Rajneesh - at least as of now.  You can go into the archives and read them all, they began on 3/25/2015; or, if you wish I can e-mail them to you.  Art :-)
Blaze, our Miniature Schnauzer, in many ways is doing better.  He is still afraid of people and noises that he doesn’t recognize he is trying to come out of his shell.
He will often pounce of a cat and sometimes even make one run – but he is all bluff and they know it.  Sometimes one will sit in the doorway, knowing that Blaze wants to go through it.  Blaze will whine because he can’t go through – when we finally coax him into going past the cat he will run as quickly as he can to accomplish the pass.
He still doesn’t understand how to play – but he does know how to let us know when he wants out.  If we are in the living room, he will go into the kitchen, stand on a mat and watch the door.  Doesn’t go to the door or scratch, just sits their patiently looking at it until we let him out.
In the morning though, it is different.  Around 0600 if I am not up he will stand on the couch and bark; just a time or two with a few minutes in between.  If that doesn’t work he gets a little noisier.
Depending on how I feel, I will either just open the door and let him out – then go back to bed, or get up and get something's done.  If I go back to bed, he will come in and wait.
If I am in more than an hour or so, he will bark.  He knows that when he goes out first thing in the morning and the last thing at night he gets a treat – he is patient, but he wants to let me know it is time.
It is going to be a trial for him over the rest of the month and well into July.  One of my daughters is going to Europe for a while, Carla, the cats – Blaze, and I will have a house guest in the form of her dog while she is gone.
We are pulling the fence out farther and we have cordoned off another area for her dog.  I won’t leave her in that area all the time, but I don’t want her disturbing the other animals too much.  In time it will work out, but it will take time and poor Blaze will have a challenge.  I’ll let you know how it is working out.
2 Chronicles 20:2-7 Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.
3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.
4 And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the Lord: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.
5 And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the Lord, before the new court,
6 And said, O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?
7 Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?
The country of Judah was being threatened by an overwhelming force, one that could destroy his people and either enslave or drive them out of Judah.
Jehoshaphat did what God wants all of us to do:  And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.
As I read this I got to wondering – Who is America’s God?
One of the saying in Germany when the Nazis took over was ‘God is with us.’  But they were not talking about the God of the Bible – they were talking about an ancient God that supposedly ruled over the German people at one time.
So if Americans say, ‘God is with us’ who are they talking about?
Most of us would say the God of the Bible, the Creator of all things.
But not everyone, and the past few years they have driven a wedge deeply between Our Lord God and their own interpretation of who God is.
To some, he is non-existent.  Period.
To some, he is man who controls his own destiny.
To others it is work.
To some it is their hobby.
To others it is evolution.
To others technology is the all important thing.
To some it is a certain sport – some have said that the church they go to on Sunday is the NFL stadiums.
To still others it is a man – a man who may have charisma and could be in any field, religion, politics, media or business.
While America has never been perfect in its function or treatment of all people, the base, the foundation of our country was on biblical principles.
There are those that deny that and say that was never the case, yet looking at the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and other documents written by our fore fathers do not support their case.
The world is in great turmoil.  America has many enemies that would love to destroy us – and they are becoming more strident in their manner.
The radical Islamic groups such as ISIS and even moderate Islamic groups want to replace our laws with their own.
The resurgence of Russia and planes that now fly over the Caribbean Sea along with their leaders animosity towards us is becoming more vociferous.
Korea, who has vowed to destroy America.
China, who owns much of the debt America has encumbered and is getting more aggressive in both statements and actions.
Iran who has vowed to destroy America and has been challenging American ships in the Mediterranean.
Our allies in fear of America falling and no longer being able to assist them are building armies and coalitions with other governments against America’s downfall.  Their attitude is not necessarily anti-America as it is for self-protection.
Who is America going to turn to when it suddenly faces all its enemies working together against us?  Who can we depend on to stand with us against those enemies?
Will out leaders do as Jehoshaphat did and stand before God and in all honesty and humbleness of spirit recognize that God is the only answer and ask for His help and guidance – leading the country in fasting and prayer?
And if they do, what God will they be addressing?
Up until Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans I always said that Americans will rebuild.  We watched, for years, the devastation of other areas, tornados, hurricanes, fires earthquakes all kinds of natural disasters hit the places and even before the storm was gone the people were helping each other and starting to rebuild.
That didn’t happen in New Orleans – they waited for help, and for some it didn’t come.  They fled the area instead of working with the rest of their citizens to rebuild.  Workers from outside the area were brought in to do the work.
The government became the ‘god’ for many of them and they had nowhere else to turn.  And their god let them down, it couldn’t help them in the way they needed to be helped.
Always before men and women stood solid, but as we see more and more around the country, it is not happening.  Instead of condemning violence we give excuses for it.
As America has moved away from God, so has the downfall of our nation.
I am saddened.   Yet, we see men and women hungry for the One and Only God.
We see men and women coming to Him and being relieved of not only their sins, but their afflictions.
We see men and women who may be undergoing persecution, but standing up for God’s Word.
While we see the rhetoric against God coming from the mouths of man, we know that the author of that pomposity is coming from the mind of satan.
God is waiting for us.  He wants to move among us, He wants to provide the protection He gave to the Israelites when they obeyed Him.
2 Chronicles 20:29 And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the Lord fought against the enemies of Israel.
May we continue to pray that His hand will move upon our country once more, and we shall acknowledge Him as the Lord.
May those countries that are ready to pounce of the decadence that America has become, have to acknowledge that God will fight on our behalf.
May God be exalted about all the earth, and may America be the mechanism He chooses to use to bring others to Him.
Later, Art :-)
