One feline poacher for sale:  This morning BaFuzzy came through the window meowing.  She was calling the other cats to come and join her – I knew immediately she had something in her mouth.
She loves to bring mice, lizards or whatever else she catches, into the dining room, calls the other cats and then sits there eating it in front of them – without sharing.
She had a mouse, but as I tried to shoo her out, she let the stupid thing go!  I couldn’t get to it fast enough to prevent it from going under the china hutch – but as I tried, I noticed another present – a lizard, couldn’t catch it either!!!
Life with cats!
Why I asked the question on the new remote, all in fun, it was brought to my mind that once we had a television repaired many years ago (when they weren’t so throw away) back from the shop.
I plugged it in and started watching it, the channel changed.  I changed it back, it happened again, and again.  I was a ‘bit’ frustrated.  But then notice that Carla was standing back, in another room, with the remote and having some fun!!!!
And you thought I was kidding about duel remotes!!
Interesting side facts that rarely come out, this paragraph from the blog “Today in History” reminded me of a ‘similar’ incident:
In 1840, a young politician found himself in a legislative minority, opposed to a payment to the Illinois State Bank.  In order to prevent a quorum,  a handful of Whigs attempted to leave the chamber.  Finding the door locked, our man stepped to a second-story window, and jumped out.  Abraham Lincoln would come to regret what he called his “window scrape”, but the future 16th President was far from the first politician to jump out of a window.  Voluntarily, or otherwise.
In 1987 or 1988 the Senate was going to vote on a measure the Republicans did not want to happen.  To avoid having a quorum many of not all (can’t remember for sure) of the Republican Senators chose not to show up for the vote.
The President of the Senate, a Democrat, learned that Oregon’s Bob Packwood was in his office.  He ordered the Sergeant of Arms to take him into custody and bring him to the Senate Floor; which he did.
Later that year, several Sheriffs from around the country came together for an annual meeting – Sheriff CW Smith, Jackson County, two or three other Oregon Sheriffs and I were among them.
We, the Oregon contingency, went to Senator Packwood’s office for a pre-arranged meeting.
CW was the first in the reception area.  He looked at the young lady behind the desk and said, “We are the Oregon contingency of Sheriffs and have come to protect Senator Packwood.”
Loved it!!
Unfortunately, a year or two later, the Senator had to vacate his office.  He had been harassing several of his female employees.  They brought it to the attention of the Senate and they voted to send him off (I believe that was the route it went) but however it happened he left the office in disgrace.
He actually did a lot of good for Oregon, but this activity was unacceptable – now, it seems they just either ignore or just pay off those that object to being harassed, sad.

2 Corinthians 11:12-15  KJV  “But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Satan is a con man, he teaches his minions to be the same.
They come as if to help us grow spiritually.
But, they have only one purpose in mind, to destroy God and His children.
All the time gaining our confidence and slowly but surely pecking away at our resistance until before long we find ourselves in grave danger of having our testimony and witnessed damaged; our lives in a spiral downward into the cesspool of hate and sin.
We need to question anything and anyone that pronounces they have a ‘new view’ or revelation about the scriptures and hold every word they speak accountable according to the scriptures.
It seems in today’s world we let others do our thinking for us.
We pick up bits and pieces of something and then put our own spin on it sometimes making it unrecognizable from the true facts.
Before we make pronouncements, we need to make sure they are true, and what goes for our spiritual life must also go for our secular life.
Reputations can be destroyed by misinformation constantly being passed along, along with one’s own opinion that isn’t based on fact.
Families torn apart, careers destroyed, communities in disarray.
All because someone has the ‘facts’ about something that aren’t true.
I have never seen so much hatred being vomited out, so much anger being expressed over sometimes trivial things – and more often over misinformation deliberately being used to discredit others.
We need to stop it, we need to not forward the message, we don’t want to be one of the participants in spewing that hatred and encouraging, by our actions, others to do the same thing.
“Lord, please help me to be cognizant on how I speak, how I write and do nothing to inadvertently impede the travel of another human being.  Even more so with our testimony of You and your many virtues and promises.”
